About Zach Bailey
Proud to be one of the few native Atlantans still residing in Atlanta, Zach Bailey has a passion for technology and software - reaching back to the age of 9.
Zach started his professional career early in High School during the DotCom boom doing internal technical support and QA testing for multiple Atlanta startups. This gave him a first hand glimpse and taste for a career in technology and more importantly taught him what entrepreneurship is all about.
After graduating from UNC Chapel Hill (go Heels!), Zach returned to Atlanta to follow that passion by getting into the field of Software Engineering and Architecture. Working on an Enterprise Web Content Management System fresh out of school wasn’t easy, but the challenge was instrumental in helping him develop his skills as a JEE developer.
At the beginning of 2008, Zach then moved on to work at WeTheCitizens, where he is now a core developer on their innovative SaaS Social Mobilization and supporter management tool, the Wildfire Platform. Working with best-of-breed JEE technologies, Wildfire Platform is poised to become the web platform for non-profit and cause-driven organizations.
In addition to his career and all things technology, Zach loves his girlfriend Emily, reading and discussing philosophy (in particular classical Greek and Roman philosophy), metaphysics, photography, biking, yoga, and meditation.
